A 150 year old fashion player with profits of £65million was experiencing issues with their TSM system. It was unable to scale to meet increased workload caused by nearly 40TB of new fashion images. The system was also impacting on the smooth running of the mainframe system which was causing business reporting to run late. Silverstring were tasked to consult and redesign the existing TSM environment with the objective to guarantee full system backups with relevant SLAs, increase the data storage capacity and remove the TSM infrastructure from a mainframe to a Windows based environment. Silverstring installed Predatar Recovery Tracker to track their data recovery processes and ensure business continuity. This organisation are now able to restore whole applications in the event of a disaster recovery or individual file restores within a 4 hour window.
A £750m company specialising in construction, facilities management and engineering services had an urgent requirement to consolidate their multiple datacentre to run from a single location as part of a company restructuring process.
