The latest release of Predatar provides users with the ability to view highly visual and drill down style reports for any TSM V6.2+ server in their environment that has the “TSM DeDuplication” feature enabled on an existing TSM Onsite Storage Pool.
The resulting Predatar report details the capacity of the associated storage pool, the percentage utilisation, and most importantly the amount of space being saved by having the TSM DeDuplication feature enabled. The report is easy to understand for all levels of staff and can be viewed in either chart or tabular format. Users are able to view historical information (up to the last 7 years) by selecting a time period from a drop down menu, which provides the ability to demonstrate ROI and assist with future capacity planning.
Additionally, based on client feedback, the latest release of Predatar also includes a number of new features and enhancements including, but not limited to:
- Enhancements to the Predatar Client Reporting feature
- Database performance enhancements in Predatar Data Tracker
- Alert enhancements in Predatar Event Tracker
- New functionality in Predatar Ticket Tracker
